Tonks through herself into her favorite recliner. She pulled her legs up to her chest and curled up in the big comfy chair. She pulled her wand out of her pocket and waved it, making her favorite Wierd Sisters song play on the record player. She resisted the urge to turn the volume way up, even though it would have helped her unwind a bit. She had just put Teddy to bed(which was quite a hastle) and she did not want to wake him up.
Listening to the song that was playing was so soothing to her, even though it wasn't as loud as she would have liked it to be. She was so worn out from work and from taking care of Teddy and the house. She rested her head on the arm of the chair and drifted off.

Remus was in the kitchen cleaning up from the night snack that his son had before kissing him and hugging him tightly. He had almost lost it all. Teddy and Tonks, along with the war. To think that he almost didn't have any of it because he was too stubborn and narrow minded. He was constantly telling people to open their minds but his was closed. It wasn't that he didn't accept Tonks quite the opposite. He just didn't accept himself and thought that she deserved better. She did. He was poor and old and a beast.
It surprised him that she could ever love him. And there was proof of that love everywhere around him in this house. Especially upstairs in his little bed made for his little body. Sometimes he could hardly believe this was his life. He smiled to himself and finished wiping down the table. He walked out to where she was sitting in her favorite chair. He smiled at her and shook his head as he sat down on the couch looking at his newspaper.
"You'll never grow out of them will you " he joked with a grin.

Hearing Remus's voice, Tonks jerked her head up from the chair's arm. She looked over at the couch and she smiled, seeing the love of her life. She remembered how a few years ago, he thought that she was too good for him and he wouldn't even try a relationship with her. She was so glad that she could convince him, with the help of some others, of course.
Tonks flipped her legs down into the proper sitting position. She smiled wider. She just couldn't help it...she was SO happy. She couldn't wish for a better life. "Of course not! Their music is too amazing to give up!" she said as she got up. She plopped down on the couch alongside her husband. She stared at him. "You haven't kissed me since you got home."

A smile formed on his lips when Tonks' head perked up. She was worse than him with knowing someone was in the room. Wasn't he as some sort of dog or wolf whatever you wanted to call him, suppose to have that kind of extra sense or at least heightened? But nooo his wife had to have all the fun.
He grinned at her. "Now no fast movements dear, don't wanna break the vase" he teased her. Though they didn't have a vase he was just teasing her about the one at Molly's that she broke once or twice. But thats why he loved her so much. Or at least part of it. She was everything all in one for him. She was perfect even with her imperfections as others might see it.
"Haven't I?" he teased her again. Then he placed an arm around her and pulled her close. " Now how shall I remedy that, hm?" he mused. Then he grinned. " Oh I know.." he trailed off as he began to kiss her sweetly.

Tonks smiled at her husband, as he was teasing her, waiting as long as possible to give her the kiss that she had been waiting for. She smiled wider as his arm moved around her waist and she scooted closer to Remus. She lifted up her head to kiss him. She could not imagine living without him. He was everything to her. Just that small amount of time without him when he wouldn't be with her was terrible. She couldn't imagine anything longer than that.
Tonks slowly pulled away and smiled up at Remus. She felt like they hadn't been together in so long. She leaned into him and looked up at him. "How was your day, love?"

Remus smiled into the kiss. Her lips were so soft, how on earth could he have ever turned her down prior to their marriage? No matter, here they were and very much in love. He would do whatever he had to do to protect that love. To protect that love and Teddy and Tonks. They were his responsibilities and even though he had flaked out on such tasks before he wouldn't do it now. There was no way. He loved them too much.
"My day?" he asked. Even though she asked him every day he found it so amazing how wonderful she was. She didn't have to ask but she still did. " It was good. First we played magical blocks and then he took my nose" he said laughing about their son's antics. " How about yourself?" he asked.

Tonks leaned back so that she could look at Remus, clearly. This was one of her favorite parts of the day. She loved hearing about her husband's and her son's day. She wished that she could be home more often to actually see what they did, instead of just hearing it through Remus. But, right now at least, that could not be helped. Teddy needed someone at home and Tonks was the one with the job at the moment.
Tonks smiled and laughed, hearing what Remus and Teddy did that day. "Oh, no! Did you get it back?"she asked, joking. She wrapped her arms around Remus and clung to him. She felt so happy. "My day was alright. The boss is working all of us rather hard. He seems to think that some of the Death Eaters are going to be coming out of hiding soon and he's going to have us stationed at certain spots for LONG amounts of time." She turned and rested her head on Remus's chest.

He loved how she always took each day as if it were their last. It made their days more memorable. Even with just a look. The same look she gave him to take in his appearence. Clearly this house was a house full of love. He returned the same look that she gave him. He wanted to make a memory every time he saw her.
He knew that she hated having to work every day not having to see or spend as much time with him and Teddy. But it was the best that they could do. What other kind of job could he have? He tried everything but there was nothing that he could do. He worked for the order and took care of their son. He would work as a professor again if the headmistress asked him too or if the order saw it as a must do. But the wizarding world was at bay. He felt as if something wasn't right with the wizarding world. It was too queit.
He laughed and pointed to his nose. " Indeed" he said and then turned his head. " Why is it gone again? Did he take it without me knowing?" he asked joking around. He loved the little games that he played with his son but he enjoyed his time with his wife as well. As she spoke he ran his fingers through her hair. " Do you have any idea who the death eaters might be? Is there a new dark lord do you think or just them trying to keep the death eaters together?" he asked her curiously.

Tonks stretched her arms over her head while she yawned. She hadn't noticed it, but she was sitting rather close to the end of the couch, which meant that she was very close to the table that was sitting next to the couch. As she stretched, her arm hit the antique lamp that was sitting on the table next to the couch. Her eyes widened as she saw the lamp wavering around and about to fall off the table. She jumped up, quickly and caught the lamp, carefully in her hands. She turned back to Remus, her hair turning pink with embarassment, and laughed.
Tonks always felt bad that she was always being so clumsy. She knew that it wasn't her fault, really, but there was really nothing she could do about it. She was always knocking things over and falling over things and tripping and falling into people. It was a wonder how she ever passed the stealth exam for becoming an Auror.
Tonks set the lamp carefully back onto the table and walked back over to the couch. She plopped back onto the couch, right next to Remus, which was on the polar opposite side of the lamp and table. She shook her head. "The boss hasn't released any information. He's just warning us to be on our guard and he's telling us that we're going to have to work longer hours soon. I have NO idea how he knows that, though."

He should have known that even though he teased her about knocking over the vase that they had on the end table. He laughed and shook his head. " Let me help you there" he offered and walked over to put the lamp on the table. He had put up a few useful charms where it wouldn't break if it did fall. Otherwise, everything in their house would be hopeless
"Let it fall Tonks" he told her. He wanted to show her that it wouldn't break. He knocked it over on accident. " Opps" he said with laughter in his voice. But as it fell it didn't break. " See" he said picking it up. " There is some good at having me at home while Teddy takes his nap" he said with a laugh. In fact there was alot of good with him being home but he wanted to make a slight joke out of it.
He knew that she felt bad about it but it really was out of her control. besides she was so cute when she was clumsy. He knew that his son would prolly have that gene as well as her changing of colors. Made him even more unique just like his mother. he was glad he took after his mother.
Remus nodded. " What do you think though?" he asked.

Tonks leaned back on the couch. She didn't know what Remus was going to do, but she didn't want to accidentally trip or something and shatter that gorgeous lamp. She gasped, seeing what he was doing. She gasped again, seeing it fall, and she jumped up. She was about to dive for it, to stop it from falling, but she stopped herself. She started laughing. "Oh, Remus! That's amazing!" she said, happily.
Remus was always saving her. No matter what it was. Whether it was pushing her out of the way of an enemies spell or if it was stopping her favorite antique lamp from shattering to the ground. No matter what it was, he was her hero and the love of her life.
Tonks dropped back onto the couch. She shrugged. "I don't know...I mean, it's possible, of course, but there really isn't any proof,"she said. She hesitated before continuing. "What do you think we would have to do if there was another war?"

Remus grinned when she said that was amazing. He knew that he was always coming up with little things to help her and save her from embarassment. He knew it might look as if he didn't want to be embarassed but it was just the opposite. He didn't want her to be embarassed. that was the thing about tonks he was always thinking about others especially her and teddy.
" I'm glad you like it" he said laughing.
Remus put the lamp back onto the table and took his seat back down next to her. It was time for the jokes to stop at least for a while. their conversation was getting serious and quickly. " I'm not talking about proof. You and I both know that there is more than needing proof. What do you feel" he asked her He had been feeling off about everything in the wizarding world lately. LIke there was something out of place but he couldn't figure out what.
He flicked his wand and two butterbeers came from their kitchen and he took his and handed the other to Tonks. " If there is another war. I want you to either leave with teddy and go to the americas or send your mother with teddy there and fight. But either way I will be fighting" he said with a nod.

Tonks leaned against Remus and closed her eyes for a moment...she was so tired...Her eyes popped open, though when she heard how Remus's tone of voice changed. She looked at him, curiously. What did she really feel? She shrugged slightly(a teenage habit that she never got rid of). She nodded. "Yeah...I know something is going on." She sighed. "I just don't want it to happen again."
Tonks carefully took the Butterbeer from Remus. She had some bad experiences with Butterbeer. She carefully twisted the top off and set it on the couch next to her. She nodded. "Yeah, Teddy won't be able to stay here. But, Remus...there is no way that I'm leaving you to fight alone."

He nodded and agreed with Tonks. " I don't either love, but we have to be more prepared than last time. It is at our advantage what to expect besides Harry and Ron will be back and we won't have to go at it alone." he offered her as comfort. He rubbed her shoulders with a light massage. He couldn't imagine how horrible this one could be. " But who would be leading them now?" he wondered out loud.
" We just loss so much the last time" he admitted in defeat. There were countless people. Sirius. Fred. Colin. So many to name. " I just know I can't lose either of you,, and Teddy needs to be protected" he told her.
He took a sip of his butterbeer. " Don't move" he told her then he flicked his wand creating a charm so it wouldn't spill. Now we don't need to worry about it spilling like on our first outing at The Leaky Cauldron" he reminded her. That was quite the night. He was so glad to be around her even if he was stubborn to let her even give him a compliment. Thats when she thought he deserved better.
he sighed and nodded. " I feared that and I want you by my side to fight i just dont want anything to happy to you or teddy. I wouldn't be able to live with myself" he told her and then kissed her. " Do you ever think about having more kids?" he asked her. Now that he knew teddy didn't carry his gene that it would be alright. if she wanted that was.

Tonks sighed. "Yeah...we're better off this time, at least." She knew that they were better off, but she still hated the fact that another war was coming. She felt bad for Remus... If this war WAS coming, which she felt fairly sure that it was...this would be the third war that Remus would have lived through. She sighed. She hated it when Remus worried. She closed her eyes. Remus gave the BEST massages. She forced her eyes open. If she didn't, she would surely fall asleep.
Tonks absolutely froze and stopped moving when Remus told her to. What was it? Was there something on her? She moved her eyes around, without moving her head, and tried to see if there was anything on her. She smiled and laughed, seeing that Remus was casting a spell on her drink so that it wouldn't spill. She blushed, though when he mentioned the Leaky Cauldron. "Oh, gosh..."she said, rubbing her face with her hand. She had just been so nervous because she had just realized that she was in love with him.
Tonks couldn't help but smile when Remus turned his head and kissed her. She loved kissing Remus. His kisses were so soft and gentle. She slowly pulled away when he started to pull away. Her eyebrows shot up when Remus inquired about having more kids. She bit her bottom lip and hesitated before answering. "More kids? I don't know, Remus..."she said slowly. She remembered how hard it was for her to get through the pregnancy and the birth. She didn't know if she wanted to go through that again so soon.
