Leandra sat behind her desk, fixing and signing millions of papers. She was just trying to get settled in her office and hoped that this school year would go great. She knew that it would be no easy task to manage a the school but she planned to make it as easy as possible. It was a large school to manage which was why she had help from the Deputy Headmaster and her Head of Houses. They would prove to be quite useful as she got use to the system of doing things around here. She was sure that she would get the hang of it and she was quite proud that she had been named Headmistress of Hogwarts. It had been a while since a woman was head of the school.
Leandra sighed, relaxing in her chair. She needed a break but she needed to get all this work finished. She still needed to hire teachers for this year before term started. And that was coming up in the horizon. She scanned through some more papers, throwing a stack away. That was old news until she heard a pecking noise outside her window. The owl was finally here to deliver her Daily Prophet. She wondered what was news today. Probably the same old, same old. Aurors were still on the hunt for any remaining deatheaters and were asking people to please be on the look out.
Even after the famous Harry Potter defeated Voldemort, the world wasn't exactly safe yet. There was still some danger. She paid that owl and took the paper. She was surprised to see that the front page headline was different than usual. It read: Potter and Weasley return from academy. She knew who they were of course. She skimmed through the story, skipping over the gossip parts and only reading the facts which wasn't much. Harry Potter and his best mate, Ronald Weasley, had finally returned from auror training after three years. She threw the paper on her desk with the rest of the mess.
She sighed but quickly straightened herself up when she heard a knock on her door. She checked her hair and smoothed out her outfit. She looked fine as she opened up her door. She smiled, instantly recognizing who it was. "Come in," she ushered in.
