Draco sauntered into the kitchen ignoring everyone on his way. He was sure that he pushed a few of the younger ickles out of his way. Besides it was late and they shouldn't be out of bed at this hour. He however was a Malfoy and went wherever he wanted to go.
He stood barechested and just in his pajamma bottoms. he didn't care besides half of the school would enjoy the show if they had stole a glance. He clapped his hands for a house elf. He smirked. " I want a cup of milk and 5 chocolate chip cookies. Now!" he ordered them and he lazily took a seat ontop of a counter.
He brushed his hair back with his hand and waited for his snack.

Hermione couldn't sleep and decided that a nice cup of hot coco would do her some good. She slowly made her way down to the kitchen making sure no one was in the hall. She told a few students to get to bed but ignored most of them. She didn't have time to deal with these troublemakers that ruled that school or at least thought they did.
She entered the kitchen, wearing nothing but her red pajama bottoms and a black tank top. She stopped suddenly when she recognized the blonde hair in front of her. How could she mistake it after having to deal with it for five years? "What are you doing here?" she asked rudely. She was still in slight shock that he was here in with his shirt off. She refrained herself from staring for she really wasn't all that interested. She looked at him expectantly waiting for his answer.
And knowing him it wouldn't be good either. Probably something to do with mudblood or something of that sort. It sounded like something he would say at least. She would be surprised if he did anything differently.

Draco smirked when he heard that rudely familiar voice of Hermione granger. Ah his favorite little mud blood. His head popped up and his grin broadened immensley as he looked over her attire. He stood up off of the counter and circled her for a moment, never taking his eyes off of her. She was quite lovely even for a mudblood but he would never admit that outloud.
He finally stopped in front of her. " Whatever I want too" he sneered. Then he looked her over again. " What is a good little gryffindork like yoursel doing out past hours?" he mused as the house elf brought him his snack. He took it from the house elf before saying thank you or even after for that matter.
He went over to the table and watched as Hermione had eyed him the whole time. She wasn't looking at him the way the comment he was about to make would imply but it didn't matter. " Like what you see mudblood?" he asked with a smirk and dunked his cookie into his milk before taking a bite out of it.

She stared at Draco who was circling her like a vulture. But she held his gaze, her glare on him never losing eye contact. Finally he had stopped and had started the insults as always. She braced herself ready to retort. She was always ready to argue...with anybody and everybody. It didn't really matter who even though she did love to argue with Ron the most for some odd reason.
"Why do you care Malfoy? I'm a prefect so I'm allowed to be out this late if I want," Hermione smirked as a house elf brought her a mug of hot chocolate. She smiled and thanked the house elf before looking to glare at Draco. "But if you wish to know, I couldn't sleep."
Her eyes flashed with anger with his last comment. "How could I ever be interested in you?" she asked, her voice dripping with venom. "You just think that because you're the Prince of Slytherin that every girl likes you? Well someone needs a reality check." She took a sip of her warm drink, watching him closely. She didn't trust him at all. And she had a very good reason not to after all these years.

Draco shrugged when Hermione asked why he even cared. He didn't really. He was just making converstation in his own way. " Who said I do?" he asked coolly. He was never one who gave her or anyone else for that fact any idea of how he felt. Not even Pansy. Though he was different with her. He cared about her but he ad a repuation to uphold and he would uphold it. As the Slytherin prince.
He smirked once she had admitted that she knew his name. His title. " Ah yes Miss Perfect" he said with a smirk. he loved to see her skin boil and her face flame in anger. Heck he'd take another punch if he had to just to see her temper flare. Only he would take her punch with pride and not flinch. It was something that his father had taught him to do lately. Over the summer he was crucioed until he no longer whimpered. His father's own personal teachings went far or at least thats what Lucius always told Draco.
He chuckled. " Granger If I wanted to put the charm on you-- you wouldn't be able to resist. No witch has" he said with a smirk. He shook his head. " No not every witch just the ones worth it" he said simply and would allow her mull that over on her own. He drank his milk and continued to dip another cookie inside his glass and then ate it. " I can be very charming when I want to be..." he added

Hermione let out an aggravated sigh. He knew just how to push her buttons. It seemed like every guy did around here. But for what? Is it 'Push Hermione Granger's Buttons' Day or something? She took a big gulp of her hot coco while she glared at him over the top of her mug.
Hermione face had turned a dark red in her anger. "Miss Perfect, eh? Just because I do my homework, get all the answers right, and follow all the rules. Is that why I'm so perfect?" she retorted, breathing deeply. She was wide awake now if she wasn't before. She hated how Mlafoy had always treated her. Calling her names like filthy mudblood or others of that sort.
"Well you can add me as that one witch that actually did resist," she responded. She thought about what he had said. But he can't make a witch not like him anymore...unless he was a total git to that girl. Well most girls that did like him were usually shallow anyways. She shook her head to clear her thoughts. "You charming? I hardly believe that."

Draco snorted and followed it by a smirk. He knew that he could get to her like no one else could. It was part of the reason why he took so much pride in annoying her, and that little Potter. Not only was he taught to hate Potter, he had a vengance. No one talked to him the way that Potter did just before they were sorted. And certainly no one told Draco no.
He chuckled as she got fired up. " Hush. YOu know Granger for someone who knows an awful lot you don't know when to shut it" he said lazily. He continued to finish off his cookies and then his milk. " Wheres your boyfriend Weasel" he asked not really caring. Though getting her fired up was in turn doing the same to him. Pansy or no Pansy.
He glared at her. " Perhaps if you weren't so combative all the time you would notice how charming I can be. Perhaps I could look past your foul mouth and show you sometime" she said angrily. His pale face becoming flush with anger.

Hermione continued to glare at him as he snorted and smirked at her. That little trademark smirk that she just wished to wipe off his face this instance. She hated everything about Draco Malfoy. He had been dislikable from the first time she met him. At least she had two best friends that felt the same way and always stood up for her.
"He's not my boyfriend," she said through clenched teeth. Ron was only her friend. That was all they would ever be. He didn't feel the same way about her as she did. He only wanted to be her friend, nothing more. She would have to deal with that. There was nothing else she could do to change that. He was into girls like Lavendar Brown and Fleur. Girls that were pretty, beautiful, and actually spent more time doing their hair than doing their homework. And they were always bickering.
Now it was his turn to be angry. She was glad that the tables had turned and now he was red in the face. She still glared at him, not showing any emotion. "I'm only protecting myself from a git like you. You're always attacking me. I do hope that you don't consider that charming."
