Hermione was working tirelessly to get the house in order for the big welcome back party. Mrs. Weasley was in the kitchen cooking while she was putting up red and gold streamers. It reminded her of the Gryffindor common room which she missed so much. But they were finally back. She was so happy but she wouldn't admit that to anyone. She would just act glad that Harry was back. She put her wand away and went into the kitchen. "Do you need any help, Mrs. Weasley?" she asked, hoping she would say yes. It was something to keep her occupied while all the guests arrived along with Harry and Ron. They would be here soon most likely.
Unfortunately, Mrs. Weasley shook her head and said,"No, dear. And please call me Molly." Hermione nodded her head and said a swift okay. She called out that she would be back real quick as she apparated into Viktor's flat. She was suppose to pick him up and take him back to the Burrow. She had asked if he could come and since he was with her, the said yes. Hermione could swear though that Mrs. Weasley had grimaced and reluctantly said yes. She assumed that Mrs. Weasley was one of those that were hoping that Ron and her would get back together. Hermione didn't think it was going to happen.
"Viktor! I'm here!" she called out. Viktor Krum came out, smiling. He seemed quite happy to see her. Hermione didn't blame him since they had only been talking on the phone lately. Hermione had been saying that she was too busy at work. It was the truth partly. It had been hard to look at Viktor in the eye lately, knowing that Ron would be coming back soon. She didn't understand why but she knew it was about Ron. He seemed to be the reason for everything these past 3 years. Viktor hugged her and planted a swift kiss on her cheek. She smiled at him before grabbing his hand and apparating.
"Back!" she yelled. She pointed Viktor over to the refreshments for he was asking for something to drink. "Over there, Viktor," she smiled, trying to keep her cool. Hair done, check. Makeup on, check. She was going through her own personal checklist at the moment, waiting for others to arrive. She prayed that the first person to walk through that door wasn't Ron for she certainly didn't want his angry face in her mind all evening after he saw her with Viktor. She could already imagine the first thing out of his mouth. What is he doing here? Just then the door opened and she braced herself for whoever came in. Please be Ginny, she begged, mentally crossing her fingers.

Today was the day that Remus would finally get to see Harry and Ron again. Harry reminded him so much of James it was unreal. He knew that Harry looked to him and Arthur for guidance. It would be good to see him again. He would have to hear what Auror training was like and what he had planned to do now that he was back. He was too excited.
He finished dressing Teddy and getting him ready. He told Tonks to meet them there so she could take her time. He wanted to get there early in hopes that Harry might be there where he could talk to him alone. Besides he was sure that Harry would want a few moments with Teddy. HIs godson.
Remus flooed them to the Burrow. " Molly?" he called out. Then Molly came bubbling towards her. " Oh Remus! And Teddy" she said happily and gave Teddy a few kisses. " Well the food is almost ready make yourselfs at home. Harry and Ron should be here with Ginny soon" she told him and went off into the kitchen.
He turned to Hermione. " Hello Ms Granger" then his eyes floated over to Krum. Now he understood molly's nervousness. Every one thought that Hermione and ron would get together when he got home but apparently not. " Hello Mr Krum" he said with a nod and raised an eyebrow to Hermione. Was she trying to start a war of heer own?

Tonks was late. She wasn't very late, but she was later than when she told Remus she would be ready and she knew how much he worried about her. She pulled on her favorite Weird Sister's shirt along with a pair of jeans and bright red converse. She apparated to just outside of the Burrow.
Tonks looked at her watch and saw just how late she was. She ran up to the door and couldn't stop herself in time, so she ran INto the door. She shook her head, a little dazed and realized that the door had been opened for her. She looked and saw that it was Hermione. "Hermione!" she shouted, happily and gave her a big hug.
Tonks was about to step into the house when she was ambushed by Molly. "Hello, Tonks, dear! How have you been?"she asked in the motherly way she had. Tonks nodded along and said,"Hey, Molly! Oh, I've been just fine!" She turned and saw Remus; a big smile broke into her face. "Remus!"She had just seen him that morning but she ran to him and gave him a big hug.

Ron didn't want to go home. He had been living with Harry and Ginny at Griimmauld place. He knew that Harry was going to ask Ginny to marry him it was only a matter of time. He was happy for his best mate and his sister but it still bothered him that they were living together. It wasn't such a big deal when he was living with Hermione. But now he woke up every morning and saw them kissy and living like they were a real family already. It only made him miss Hermione more.
He knew that he would have to really win her back and what was worse was that she was dating someone. He just didn't know who. No one would tell him who. It was really mad all of it. He got into the shower and walked into his closet trying to pick out something nice to wear. It had been a long time since he saw his family.
He put on a pair of nice faded blue jeans and a Gryffindor deep maroon shirt. And of course a deep navy blazer over it. He made his way to the fireplace and flooed to the burrow. There he saw Hermione as he stepped out of the fireplace. His heart skipped a beat and he opened his mouth to say hello when he saw Krum. He glared at the two of them before turned to Remus. " Hey Professor Lupin, Hey buddy" He said to teddy before rufflinghis hair. " Hey Tonks" he said giving her a hug and walking past Hermione. How could she bring that git here? To his home
He walked into the kitchen. " Mum!" he boomed and Molly squealed. " Oh Ron!" she said rushing to his side and taking his face in her hands giving him a kiss on each side of his face. " Ron you've all grown up." She said wiping a tear from herr face. He laughed. " Mum its still me no need to cry." he said with a grin. She nodded. " Foods almost done now go visit with your company" she said shooing him back into the living room. There he glared at hermione and him again before taking a seat.

Hermione smiled at Remus and Tonks. They looked so happy. She had hoped that one day her and Ron would look like that but she knew it was impossible. Even with him coming back, it was impossible. She had done what he said and was now seeing someone else. Well, maybe she didn't do exactly what he said but she had attempted at least. And Teddy was looking so big. He looked so much like Remus but he was a metamorphagus like his mother. She was about to go over to Teddy when he popped out of the fireplace.
She stopped in her tracks and she could feel the tension building. She didn't dare glance over to Viktor. She tried to smile at him but it came out more like a grimace. It was too forced and she just wasn't capable of doing it. So she just stood there, hoping that Viktor wasn't feeling too awkward. She had told him that he shouldn't come but he had said that he wanted to. Hermione was guessing that he wanted to feel more welcomed in the Weasley family since Hermione considered this her family. He must have some high hopes of marrying her someday. She hated that she might have to turn him down.
She watched him brush by her...twice. He wasn't even going to try to be civil at least. She sighed, knowing that this is what she was suppose to expect. It was Ron, there was nothing really different about him. He did look more grown up though and he was so much taller. She jammed her hands in her pocket and she could feel a tense Viktor near her. She felt sorry for him that he might accidently get placed in the middle of this. She shouldn't have came especially not with Viktor.
She gulped, taking the punch offered from Viktor. She muttered a quick thanks and walked over to where Ron sat. She stood in front of him and said stiffly,"Congratulations." She turned back, taking a sip of her drink. She wasn't ready to confront him yet and seeing that his rude attitude was taking control, she really didn't want to talk to him. He could at least try to be civil and then discussed about it later. She would then have to explain to him that she was doing just what he wanted her to do: move on. Well she was trying at least.

Ron had grumbled to himself as his mum sent him back into the living room. It was the last place he wanted to be with him in there. Sure he said for her to move on but he didn't really expect her to do so. If she loved him she would have fought harder for him but did she? No. She didn't do anything but yell at him that night. Obviously he was wrong about her loving him.
As he sat there he scowled at the two. He sensed that Vicktor wasn't all too happy. Well good because neither was Ron. This was his family and Vicktor had no right to be there. Then it hit him. This was why no one would tell him It only infuriated him. As he watched them even for the breif moments, his face became flushed with anger.
He felt like he was at the yule ball all over again. And there she was with his self proclaimed enemy. When she stood in front of him he looked up with her with disgust. " Errm... Thanks" he said running his hand through his shaggy hair. He knew if he said anything else his mum would be terribly angry but it wasn't the end of it. He stood up and brushed past her. " Wheres the firewhiskey when I need some" he mumbled and grabbed a bottle from the fridge.
He opened it and didn't bother with a glass. He took a few swigs from the bottle knowing that there was plenty more and if not he would go out and get some. BUt he knew for a fact that Ginny was bringing a few bottles herself for everyone to celebrate. He sat back down with bottle in hand. He looked at Hermione and Krum and took a few gulps. He wiped his mouth and blurted without thinking. " him? why him? he asked starting to feel the affects.

Harry quickly put on a pair of jeans and a clean pair too. He was glad to be back in real clothes again and not stuck in some stupid uniform. He pulled over his favorite blue shirt and stepped in front of the mirror to inspect himself. He tried fixing his hair but to no avail. It just didn't stay down and he knew that it never would. There was no point of even trying. As he walked down the stairs of Grimmauld Place, he heard Ginny telling him that he would meet them there. Harry just shook his head and laughed softly. Girls always seem to take so long getting ready. Why is that?
He apparated outside of the Burrow and knocked. The door opened up and he could see that a small gathering had arrived. He smiled at everyone, saying hello to Professor Lupin and Tonks. He ruffled Teddy's hair. Harry couldn't wait to spend more time with his godson. It was something else he had been looking forward to when he got back. There were a lot things and Ginny was on the top of the list. He stood up after tickling Teddy to turn to the other 3 arrivals.
One of them was Ron of course. He had already arrived here before him. He didn't look so happy and he was drinking before the party. And he was glaring off in the other direction of the 2 visitors. He turned to see Hermione and he smiled. But his smile quickly faded when he saw who she was with. He had forgotten about Viktor. Ginny had to tell him this for Hermione had just told Harry she was dating. She never gave any specifics and he could see why. "Er-hey Hermione, Viktor," he said nervously. Then Ron spoke and Harry could tell that this might be a long night.
He really hoped that Hermione wouldn't do or say anything stupid. He could feel an argument on the horizon. Why couldn't Ron at least try to be civil for once? Just try to act happy for her even though she's happy with someone else other than him. But it seemed that Ron was too jealous of a git to do that. He was planning to make her stay a living hell if he could. He walked over to Ron, taking the bottle away from him. "I think you guys have a lot to catching up to do," he said, nodding to outside. He wasn't going to allow them to ruin a perfectly good party.

Hermione stood by Viktor's side, watching as Ron drank the firewhiskey. The same thing she had been doing for years, he was doing tonight and maybe forevermore. She couldn't blame herslef though for this mess. It was his fault. He had left her and she had taken it as that he didn't love her anymore. It broke Hermione's heart and she was just left to stand there, crying. He had just taken off without saying another word. For Merlin's sake, he didn't even write when he was gone. At least that would have clued her in that he may still care. But no, she didn't even receive one letter from him, not one.
Harry apparated in but Hermione took no real notice of him. She was glaring at Ron and his such rude manners. She turned to see that Harry was saying hello. She gave him a small smile but it was quickly gone. She could see that Harry was tense and she didn't blame him. Maybe she should just leave seeing that this party would be no fun if two people are sulking and angry at each other. Especially if one of them happens to be the guest of honor.
Hermione quickly turned around on Ron as soon as she heard the words leave his mouth. She was angry now but before she could retort anything, Harry stepped in. He took the bottle away from Ron and told them to talk about. Hermione crossed her arms, pissed that she had to be alone with Ron outside. She really didn't want to do that. "Fine then, I'll kill him outside," she growled, storming out the front door. Viktor stood planted in the middle of the living room, unsure of what to do. He didn't think he should follow though.
Hermione stood outside, wrapping her coat tighter around her. It was chilly outside. She didn't think Ron would follow her out here. She was sure of it. So she was out here, hoping to catch some air alone and cool off. It would be her best bet. Then she could go in there and maybe make up some excuse that she was sick or something. She would just go home after congratulating Harry real quick and then leave with Viktor. That was her wonderful plan.

Ginny knew that she was taking longer than what the boys wanted to wait for to get ready but she was Ginny and the world, wizarding or not, would just have to wait for her. Even if that meant that Harry and Ron didn't. She of course had gotten in the shower long before Harry or Ron did, but what did they have to worry. Molly was never on Ron about whether he was dressed appropriate or not even if he wasn't. But, she was going to make sure that she looked fabulous, not only so that her mother could focus all of her attention on Ron but so that she could knock Harry's wind right out of him. She knew that he stopped whenever he saw her so why not give him something to really make him stop and stare. She had the perfect dress too. She couldn't wait to see everyone. Sure she had been here the whole time. Not like Harry or Ron. But she had been busy with her own schooling and then securing a job. Along with her mooping that she hadn't gotten to see her mother or family all that much. In her opinion this was a homecoming for everyone. Everyone was held together by Ron and Harry. No matter how much Hermione or anyone else didn't want to admit it; they were. With her towel wrapped around her waist, she headed to her closet in her and Harry's room sifting through all of the clothes there. She finally picked out a dress. But she sat on a chair in front of her vanity because with the new cooling charms Harry put on the house it was finally cool enough. She knew that the burrow was going to be hot so she was going to wear one of the summer dresses that her mother helped her pick out from a catolog of one of those muggle stores. She put on her pink dress and then slipped into a pair of white high heel sandal and made her way over to the floo network. There she stood in the fireplace and flooed herself to the burrow. There she saw Hermione standing in front of Ron and Harry trying to break them up. The last words that Hermione said hit Ginny the wrong way. " Hermione Jean Granger! Not tonight" she scolded her with her hands on her hips but a playful grin on her lips before giving her a hug. Then she walked over to harry with a grin on her face. She kissed him sweetly and whispered in his ear. " Worth the wait?" she asked him seductively for only him to hear.

Ginny flooed in and she looked absolutely stunning. If Harry wasn't so busy trying to keep Ron and Hermione at bay, he would have stood there speechless like an idiot. But he was trying to avoid an argument and get them to talk it out like adults. Something that was impossible for it was Ron and Hermione they were talking about. To get them to talk out their feelings was something they had been trying to do for years now. It took them 7 just to admit that they liked each other. He really didn't want to deal with this tonight.
He tried to cut off Ginny from saying anything but it was too late. She had resorted to joking with Hermione, the worst person to set off at the moment. She could see Hermione giving a fake hug before storming out. He looked over to Ron and nodded toward the door. He needed to follow and sort things out with Hermione. He felt sorry for Viktor who had to be stuck between this but before he could say anything Ginny had finally come over to him.
He smiled at her as she kissed him. "Every minute," he whispered back, looking her up and down. He hoped that she would be his wife one day. He already had the ring picked out. All he needed was Mr. Weasley's permission and he would ask her. He was just waiting for the right moment. He really wanted to make the occasion special in someway but he didn't know how. It wasn't one of his specialties which is why he was planning to talk to Hermione about it. He knew Ron would be the wrong person to go to for advice on how to ask someone to marry them. Hermione would know a romantic way.
Harry turned to Viktor and gave him a weak smile. "I'm sorry about all that," he apologized. Harry had nothing against Viktor as a person but he was really destroying his friends' happiness. Hermione and Ron were meant to be together, not Hermione and Viktor or Won-Won and Lav-Lav. It still made him sick to think about those two going out. "You don't have to stay her if you don't want to. I'll tell Hermione you went home. I'm sure she'll understand." Harry was hoping to get rid of Viktor and make the atmosphere less tense.
But to his great surprise, he shook his head. "I von't leave. I von't trust vim," he said in his think Bulgarian accent. Harry was taken by surprise by this. He had certainly been working on it but he didn't trust Hermione alone with Ron. Now that was some surprising information. Maybe he could use it to his advantage to get Ron and Mione back together. He really wished that they would make up already.
He turned to Ginny and asked,"Would you like anything to drink?" He wanted to at least get some relaxation and peace before the yelling might start outside. He hoped that it wouldn't but it most likely will. They would know when it's over when Hermione came storming back in, upset and probably near tears or in them. Either one would work. But Harry was sure that it would be Hermione storming in. Harry had a hard time though peeling his eyes away from Ginny to get back to reality. He couldn't wait to make her Mrs. Potter.

After Tonks had finally released herself from her husband, she looked around the room. She hadn't realized how tense everything was when she walked in, but once she had gotten used to the place, she noticed it. In fact, it was VERY clear. She looked from Hermione to Ron to Victor. That was when it clicked. She shook her head. There was no way to stop the situation, though. Hermione shouldn't have to leave her boyfriend behind just because Ron was there and there was no way that Ron couldn't come to the little party.
Tonks walked over to her son. She hadn't seen him since that morning when Remus left. "Hey, Teddy!" she said, happily. Her son looked up happily and said,"Hi, Mommy!" She plopped down next to him and started playing with him.
Tonks looked up as Molly came running out of the kitchen and set down a plate of refreshments, then she turned and ran back into the kitchen. She turned to her son and kissed him on the head. "Be right back, Teddy!" She stood up and ran into the kitchen, running into the door frame on the way in. "Molly do you need any help?" she asked. Molly turned around, relieved about to say 'yes' probably, but when she realized that it was Tonks, she smiled and said,"Oh, no dear! I have everything under control." Tonks rolled her eyes and shrugged. "Ok,"she said, sighing. She went back into the other room and continued playing with her son.

Luna put on a blue shirt and pants and walked to the burrow. She was excited about the party for Ron and harry. She was happy to see them again. She knew they thought she was weird but they were still her friends. She was sort of late and everyone was already there. She went and greeted Mr. and Mrs. Weasley and went to look for her friends. She saw harry, ron, and hermione and went up to them. "So how is everyone?" asked luna.

Ron glared right back at Hermione. if one thing never changed it was that he was just as stubborn if not more so. He use to crack under pressure with her and run to fix it. Well no more. She didn't try to owl him or anything while he was gone and who was the first person that she turned to? Vicktor Krum. He couldn't even mention his name it was too hurtful. And he was far too angry. He wanted to rip yell and scream. But his mother would have his head and right now he was more afraid of his mother rather than Hermione.
He saw Harry took his bottle. " Hey what did you do that for Mate?" he asked with a scowl. " I thought tonight was suppose to be about us to cel-e-brate?" he asked in between hippcupps. " Fine I'll just go and get another one" he said and stood up lazily. Then he barely heard what Hermione said as she stormed out past them. " Did she say she was gonna kill me out there?" he asked with a gulp.
Then he started for the door when he heard Harry talking to him. Ron's face grew bright red and stormed back to where Vicktor was standing. " You listen here and you listen good mr bulgarian bon bon. Your a sell out and once Hermione realizes what I did was for her own good, or rather our own good I could get her back and you. Youll be old news. With your face in the dirt just like you'll be this season when Harry's and mine team kills you on the field. She doesn't love you and never will you git." he began never taking a breath of air. "Why don't you go out with someone your own age. Your way to old for her... you you craddle robbing git" he said angrily and stormed off into the kitchen.
There he was met by his mum. " Oh Ronald, Hermione went outside why don't you go check on her?" she asked innocent but she was fast at work at trying to get him and Hermione to talk things out again. It was no secret that she wanted them together. Ron did too but his pride stood in the way. He shook his head " No mum she just wanted some fresh air" he lied. He walked over to the fridge and grabbed the bottle of his and poured some straight in a nice tall glass. It looked like iced tea. Ha no one would take it now!
He sat down as his dad came into the room. " There he is!!" he said and hugged his son. " Hey dad" he said happily and hugged him. Just then he sat down and Harry walked into the room. " Hey mate" he said happily as he drank quite abit of the cup. arthur looked at the boys. " So what do you plan on doing now that your home?" he asked.

Harry held back the bottle away from Ron. He shook his head, not letting Ron have the bottle back. He wouldn't let Ron do what Hermione had done. He was only drinking away the situation at hand and that would do nothing. It never solved anything. It only temperarily eased the pain he was feeling at the moment and that was all. He set the bottle down on the table behind him and watched Ron head to the door. At least he was listening and hopefully try to work things out. But then he stopped and turned around.
Damn Viktor! he thought. Why couldn't he just keep his mouth shut? Especially around Ron but this might be his plan. To keep Ron and Hermione from getting back together. Couldn't he see that Hermione wasn't truly happy with him? She never was and he just needed to move on. Harry stood there letting Ron waste his breath and anger on Viktor. Maybe then he would less fired up with Hermione when they talked. But he didn't head in that direction next. He made his way to the kitchen instead.
Harry sighed, giving Ginny an apologetice smile. "I'll be right back," he whispered, kissing her on the cheek. He followed after Ron passing by Mrs. Weasley. He smiled at her and gave her a hug. This woman was like a mother to him. "So nice to see you Harry dear," she said, letting him go. He made his way after Ron to see that Mr. Weasley was with him. This would be the perfect time to do it.
He clasped hands with Mr. Weasley and smiled at both Weasley's. "Hey there mate," he said, trying to look happy. "Umm...Mr. Weasley, I have a question." He waited to go on. "I was wondering if it would be alright if I married Ginny?" He waited for his answer, hoping that he would say yes. He was sure of it. He thought that this was the perfect situation. He felt like was not only asking Mr. Weasley's permission but Ron's. It was quite nerve wracking.
Finally Mr. Weasly broke into a full grin. "Of course Harry!" he cried out happily, clasping Harry on the back. "I couldn't think of a better man for my daughter. And I know you love her and she loves you." Harry grinned as he couldn't believe his ears. He could marry Ginny and he had done it the proper way. Now the only thing he needed to do was to ask her to marry him. He just wanted the perfect moment.
Now turning solemn, he looked to Ron. "You should talk to her," he told him seriously. "Prove her wrong by going out there. I bet she doesn't think you're going to follow after her. And it would enrage Viktor even more." He hoped that this would coax Ron into going after Hermione. He really hoped that they could work things out. He wanted to see his friends happy for once.

Ron smiled at his dad and then watched as Harry clasped his hand. He nodded back at Harry. He was in no rush to go and get his head biten off of by Hermione. He knew that she was going to do so he would let her cool down and go out and talk to her. Maybe the blow would be lessen or maybe or not at all. No he shook his head, that would be impossible. She prolly had this stored up for three years. He sighed.
Finally he was brought back to what Harry was asking his dad. Harry was going to ask Ginny to marry him?? How did he feel about it? He knew that Harry loved Ginny and he was happy for them. But that was his little sister. He wasn't going to let anyone marry her. But then again Harry wasn't just anyone was he?
He watched to see what his dad would say. And his dad was welcoming him into the family with open arms. He nodded and took Harry's hand as well. " I couldn't think of anyone better" he told him. " But treat her right or I will kill you" he said with a grin. He knew that he wouldn't hurt ginny but he had to say something brotherly.
" So have you picked out a ring yet?" he asked him curiously. He wondered just how much thought Harry had put in to it yet. Ron was going to ask Hermione to marry him if he could ever get her to talk to him again. He had a ring and the setting perfectly. He sighed again. Not that there was anything worth of saving.
He snapped out of his thoughts again when Harry turned to him. " Why would she want me to talk to her?" he asked with his emotions clearly written on his face. His face turned to pure joy at the sound of that. Then he saw his sister walk into the room and he nodded. " Alright I'll do it" he said bracing himself for it.
He took in a deep breath and walked out to where Hermione was. " Uhh Hermione?" he asked nervously and ran his hand through his hair. " I came to uh clear things up" he said nervously again. He was at a loss for words.
